Can I have my bloods done at my GP?

You can request your GP takes your bloods for you but they are not under any obligation to do so, it is a favour rather than an expectation. In addition, they may not have access to all the bloods, particularly SHBG.You will need to take responsibility for having them done in good time for your appointment and for the results to be sent to us.We send all details of the bloods required in the clinic letter. Should your GP request this information please direct them to the clinic letter which you and they will have a copy of.Most private clinics will not allow patients to have bloods done outside of their own clinic due to additional administrative work.We do allow this because we try to make our service accessible to as many women as possible but we cannot take responsibility for accessing results for bloods not generated by us.

How many consultations will I need?

Some women only need one plus or minus a follow up. They are then happy for their GP to provide continuing care.Those with more complex needs may need more appointments.Women on HRT should have an annual review with their medication prescriber.

How long do consultations normally last?

Please allow roughly 45 minutes for a new patient consultation and 30 minutes for a follow up.
